Powin Onboarding Modules
To streamline and enhance the onboarding experience for Powin’s remote workforce, a series of on-demand eLearning modules were designed and implemented for new hires. These interactive, brand-aligned onboarding modules provide essential organizational knowledge. This project contributed to Powin’s emerging broader onboarding training strategy, ensuring a consistent and engaging learning experience across departments.
Objectives
The primary objectives of the initiative were to:
Create a self-paced and comprehensive introduction to Powin’s operations, structure, and policies.
Optimize the onboarding process by allowing new hires to independently access and complete required training, reducing time demands on managers and providing a consistent learning experience.
Audience
These modules were designed for Powin’s new hires, including engineers and administrative staff, the majority of whom work remotely.
Critical Project Elements
Organizational Strategy: Powin’s onboarding program previously consisted of a series of virtual, synchronous, instructor-led training sessions. A proposal was written and presented to executive leadership, presenting a business case for implementing an online learning alternative.
eLearning Design in Articulate Rise: Interactive modules were developed in Articulate Rise, incorporating multimedia elements such as videos, screen recordings, and audio narrations to enhance engagement and retention.
Brand Consistency and Visual Design: All modules adhered to Powin’s branding standards, resulting in a polished and cohesive look that reflects the company’s identity.
LMS Administration: The modules were managed and deployed on Reach360, providing straightforward content management and training data reporting to track onboarding compliance.
